Valadon, Pompidou, views to remember

I worked in the atelier in the morning. I went to the printer to get my flyer printed for my open studio on April 23. I went to the Pompidou and saw 4 exhibits for 4 hours. The Suzanne Valadon show was interesting especially for what a women artist focused on in the late 19th and early 20th century. Her nudes in particular were not depicted with the sensuous gaze of many of her male counterparts. The other exhibition was of Blacks who came to France throughout the 20th century to enjoy the freedom and tolerance of French culture. The other two exhibits were of an architect work and the collection of Jean Chatelus of strange works. On the way back to the atelier, the wisteria bloomed.
