There are so many courtyards and converted palaces owned once by the aristocracy before the French Revolution and the protests by the Commune. The gardens or courtyards still exist and are open to the pubic.  At this time of the year, in early February, the platings include primroses, pansies and ornamental cabbages in a colorful display.
