Madonnas dominated Hans Schärer's work from 1965 to the mid-1980s. I am particularly interested in his lush handling of the paint. Hans Schärer was Swiss. He lived near Lucerne and shared his work with friends but never developed a public market for his work.
Hi there, you are quite regarding there never having been any public market. Almost anything that comes on the market here in Switzerland to auction is immediately snapped up. On the other hand, considering the number of paintings, drawings, sculptures, not very much comes to market.
