I woke up at 8:30 am and decided to go t the D’Orsay Musee. I visited the L’Orangerie which was close to where I got off the subway, I scanned the L’Orangerie collection and walked through the Tuileries garden to D’Orsay and proceeded to look at my favorite pieces. There was easy access to both attractions. I walked back through the Tuileries Garden to the Atelier. There I mounted 20 oil pastel drawings.

Picasso

At the Picasso Museum I saw these works.

Impact

I walked the streets of Le Marais and it is the gardens that have caught my attention. There are plenty espalier trees and shrubs. There are curves and no hard angles to be seen. The daffodils and fruit trees are flowering. The tips of the branches are just budding and everything has a splash of green emerging.  The weather is superb and comfortable to bask in the sun.

Cite Internationale des Arts arrival

The flight arrived on time in the morning from an overnight flight out of Dulles. The check in was slow because 180 residents arrived all at once. Everything was familiar because this is the third time I am staying at the Cite. I took the train into the downtown. It was a mistake since the escalator was broken. I stopped by Norte Dame for a croissant and Americano. It was not the best I have ever had. My atelier is not on the Seine but I have a great view of a small park and historic building. I unpacked and set up my atelier. I went shopping for food and art materials. The weather was perfect and cafe society was in full bloom.I visited a small garden near Fika Cafe one of our favorite places to relax. My first impressions were I at a familiar place. The season offers something new to absorb. What’s will I end up exploring or inspiring me we shall see.
